Carlos E. Verdecia holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. In 1991, Mr. Verdecia obtained his Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Notre Dame Law School in South Bend, Indiana.

Upon graduating from Notre Dame, Mr. Verdecia went to work for the law department of Exxon Company, U.S.A., a division of the company formerly known as Exxon Corporation and now called ExxonMobil. Mr. Verdecia defended the company in a variety of lawsuits around the country involving property damage and personal injuries allegedly caused by contamination of toxic substances.

In 1994, Mr. Verdecia went into private practice limiting his practice to representing the injured. Since 1994, Mr. Verdecia has represented thousands of injured victims in a variety of cases including automobile accidents, slip and fall incidents, dog bite cases, nursing home abuse, and medical malpractice cases.
