Teen Trampled

Monday morning, a local teenage girl was injured when a vehicle collided with the bicycle she was riding. The 16-year-old was hospitalized and hurt her leg, but luckily survived.

The driver of the vehicle that hit her, however, has not been found. She recalls the car being a silver Nissan and she did get the license plate number. Police are currently investigating and continue to search for the hit-and-run driver.

The incident occurred near Southwest 152nd Avenue and 89th Terrace in the Hammocks. The teen was headed to Felix Varela Senior High School when the car hit her. She was thrown from her bike as the car proceeded to run over it and then continued driving.
