Carlos E. Verdecia holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. In 1991, Mr. Verdecia obtained his Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Notre Dame Law School in South Bend, Indiana.
Upon graduating from Notre Dame, Mr. Verdecia went to work for the law department of Exxon Company, U.S.A., a division of the company formerly known as Exxon Corporation and now called ExxonMobil. Mr. Verdecia defended the company in a variety of lawsuits around the country involving property damage and personal injuries allegedly caused by contamination of toxic substances.
After having represented corporations for a number of years, Mr. Verdecia realized that the common person too deserved representation by a skilled and competent attorney. It was at this point where he had a change of heart and dedicated his career to helping people.
In 1994, Mr. Verdecia went into private practice limiting his practice to representing the injured. Since 1994, Mr. Verdecia has represented thousands of injured victims in a variety of cases including automobile accidents, slip and fall incidents, dog bite cases, nursing home abuse, and medical malpractice cases.

Janelle M. Vega is an associate at the Verdecia Law Firm in Miami where she focuses her practice in the areas of personal injury including automobile accidents, slip and fall, trip and fall and premises liability.
Prior to joining the Verdecia Law Firm, Janelle was a defense attorney primarily in the areas of first and third party automobile and homeowner’s insurance defense litigation. Janelle has a strong focus on insurance coverage as it pertains to automobile accidents, premises liability and products liability. Janelle’s experience as a former defense attorney has served as an integral part of her career by preparing her to strategically litigate matters in the best interest of her clients, while anticipating her adversary’s course of action.
Janelle graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Thomas University School of Law. During her time in law school, Janelle was a member of the school’s Law Review.
